Vintage 1920s Beaded Silk Velvet Burnout Belt Crop Top Burlesque Flapper Devore
Devine burnout silk beaded belt / wrap. Once sewn on a dress and perhaps snapped onto the waist (thread remnants and a single snap remain). Bright pink silk velvet flower and leaf pattern with long clear beaded fringe on both ends. Can be worn numerous ways. As a bandeau top, a simple belt or stole, draped over the shoulders, etc. As shown it would require a stitch or chain attached at the chest and possibly two long draped chains attaching the front and back under the arm. Perfect for a creative who has a little sewing capability.

Approx. 7" wide and 95" long. Beaded fringe is 9" making it a total of 113" long.
Condition:
Overall fair to good, wearable condition. This was sewn to a dress and removed long before I acquired it. There are a number of small holes and a handful of thread remnants.  A darker mark I have not attempted to clean and am unsure what it is from. Undone hem in two small areas. Missing some fringe as well as some that have been shortened. The fabric does not rip when gently pulled on and feels wearable with reasonable care. Color is bright and vibrant. No bad odors or dust.
*a note on using two sided tape (bra tape)* be forewarned it will likely pull the velvet off. Not on this piece but I have seen plenty of 20s velvet dresses with price tags stuck on. No matter how slow and carefully removed, it always ends in heartbreak and pulls the velvet off.
