Unfortunately because the silk is thin you can see these repairs if you look closely. However, these small flaws don’t detract from the overall charm and uniqueness of this scarf.

    It doesn’t get any more New York than this! Up for your consideration is an Echo 100% silk scarf showing the Lord & Taylor store at 38

    Street and 5
    th
    Avenue in New York City. I believe it’s illustrated by one of the New Yorker cartoonists, though I have not been able to determine which one.
    This item is probably from the late 1980s or early 90s. It measures about 34” inches across and comprises an artist’s sketch of a moment in time at this corner, with taxis and hot dog vendors and shoppers and commuters all doing their thing. Truly a unique piece!
    CONDITION
    This scarf is in vintage condition. It doesn’t have any noticeable fading or stains, but it does have several small (moth?) holes that were repaired with “liquid fabric” to stop them from getting bigger.
