DS. 7pgs. June 24, 1863. Washington. General Orders No. 189, relating to the court martials of Captain A. Von Putkammer, Private Alfred O. Smith, and Private Martin Troy. Smith and Troy were both sentenced to be executed, but their sentences were overturned by the President. The document was signed "
E D Townsend
" as Assistant Adjutant General. It is in very good condition with losses to left edge. #9-22-A
