Lovely museum deaccessioned finely hand woven linen with perhaps a silk mixture. Fabric is light and airy.  These scarves or table mats were entirely handmade, circa 1780. and are decorated with couched silk and gold metallic threads.  Silk decoration is peach blue and gold.  It is in excellent to good condition with some old stains.
