    Description

    1863 pass from the provost marshall's office at Jackson, July 2, 1863, signed by Col. A. C. Parry as provost marshall, ordering respect for the property of one James Meagher.  Parry (1828-1866) had been colonel of the 47th Ohio (which received the most Medals of Honor of any regiment in the war); he was wounded at Kennesaw Mountain.  document is mounted to album page.
