A wonderful 3 page handwritten letter from a Confederate soldier from Danville, Alabama. It was written in May of 1863 after the battle of Day’s Gap. He was a part of General Forrest’s command. It has great details and says in small part:We have been stationed on the extreme left of Bragg’s Army which rests at Columbia for several months ever since the battle of Murfreesboro.
