    Description

Note: This is my last "double tree." It has a tiny chip on one corner, barely noticeable, but I believe in mentioning all flaws.

With One Bonus Italian Style Art Glass Egg Pendant Included
    In addition to the double
tree on marble base jewelry organizer shown, the buyer will also receive a beautiful Italian style art-glass egg pendant (seller’s choice). See the photos to see what these colorful glass pendants look like.
    USA shipping only.
This hand-made tree includes a pair of new metal trees that are rose-gold colored metal and a vintage polished heavy Italian Carrera Marble base.
You can adjust the trees to face in any direction you like when you tighten the screws underneath.
This pair of trees on a single base will hold many articles of jewelry. The base is 2.5”x5” and 3/4ths of an inch thick. There is a sticker on the side of the base describing the marble as Italian.
There are three slightly different types of these trees for sale. The 3 types are round onyx, rectangular marble, and double trees on marble base.
This large metal tree stands 12 inches tall without the base and is about 6.5 inches wide at its widest point.
This will be sent unassembled to better protect it but it is easy to put back together (see photo). The buyer will only need a Phillips head screwdriver. You can adjust the tree(s) to face in any direction you like when you tighten the screw(s) underneath.
The entire tree is made in the Russian Faberge style of jewelry display trees but it was not made in St. Petersburg. Those trees are very rare outside of Russia (see final photo).
I had so many egg pendant customers requesting an egg pendant tree with a marble, onyx or stone base in the traditional Russian style, that I had a few made. There are just a few of these one-of-a-kind tree stands available and when they all sell, there will be no more. The tree is a rose-gold colored metal and the base on each is either polished Carrera Marble from Italy or gorgeous polished onyx from Mexico. The tree in the first photo is the actual one the buyer will receive.
The branches on the metal tree are strong enough to hold small pocket watches, or bracelets and necklaces. They will also hold pendants and rings. If the pendant is too small for a branch, strips of thin ribbon can be used to tie the eggs on to the branches.
Using metal trees is one traditional way to display and store a collection of Russian Faberge-style egg pendants.Egg pendants are an important cultural tradition in Russia and Eastern Europe. They are as much décor as they are jewelry. They are meant to be seen and enjoyed. Many collectors display their best eggs on gold-colored metal Faberge-style “trees”. These may have beautiful stone, marble or onyx bases with edges that are polished smooth or rough-hewn.
About the Eggs for Sale In My eBay Storefront:  These are part of a large collection of antique, vintage and almost-new egg
About the Eggs for sale in my eBay store:  I am listing a large collection of antique, vintage and almost-new egg pendants and related jewelry items, most of them made from gilded sterling silver, but some made from solid 14k gold, gilded porcelain, crystal, genuine gemstones, and art glass. Most will be of the Russian Faberge style, but there will also be some beautiful examples from Italy and other egg-laying nations. The last photo shows you a sampling of the collection that is being sold, one egg at a time.
Many of the finest egg pendants are not hallmarked. I have years of experience with fine jewelry and guarantee every statement made regarding precious metal. If an egg I sell you is not made of the stated materials, you are entitled to a full refund including your shipping, upon return. I have an all-sales-final policy to keep my prices low, but I stand behind the accuracy of my descriptions.
The condition on all of the eggs is excellent pre-owned, unless otherwise stated. That means there is no damage. The enamel is intact, the bale is present, and all crystals and gems are present. Each pendant comes with a new square or rectangular gift box or gift bag.
Some eggs may have some natural toning (darkening of the silver over time) or minor wear (contact marks) from use around the bale. So please study the photos to be sure the condition is to your liking.
Some of these hand-made pendants are rare types, shaped like other round objects like pumpkin, acorn, eggplant, and crown; and a few are statement pieces, very large and magnificent. Starting bids and Buy-It-Now prices will be as much as 80% less than their original price when new. Please re-visit my store to see the entire collection as it is listed.

Since seller-written Buying Guides have been discontinued by eBay, I have expanded mine, added new photos, and moved them to Amaz*n and Kindl*. You can find them by typing the phrase “Buying Guide Russian Egg Pendants” in any Amaz*n search box. Below is a Table of Contents for this Buying Guide and info about the series.
    "Collecting
Russian Faberge-Style Sterling Silver, Vermeil, and Porcelain Egg Pendants"
was written to help the buyers of Russian egg pendants and lockets understand the background of this fascinating collecting field, to learn about some of the most popular types, and find resources for purchase, with photos throughout.
Eggs are the symbol of renewal, new beginnings, and springtime. Jewelers skilled in the art of Russian egg making create these small masterpieces inspired by the jeweled eggs made by Peter Carl Fabergé for the family of the Tsar during the 19th century. Typically, pure gold is applied over sterling silver, the egg is hand-enameled, and then each sparkling crystal and/or gemstone is added by hand.
Egg pendants made of gold, fine art glass, filigree vermeil silver, wood, and enameled metal called cloisonné are also right at home in any egg pendant collection, too. Some of the most beautiful glass eggs come from Italy, especially Venice and the Italian island of Murano.
This series of booklets, Buying Guides for International Collectables, celebrates folk art and collectable items from around the world, including some that are not well-known but that are affordable and fascinating. Ceramics, wood carvings, semi-precious gemstones, embroidery, sculpture, and sterling silver figurines are just some of the areas explored. Let’s feast our eyes on the traditional arts and crafts of India, Mexico, Russia, Ghana, USA, Brazil, Japan, China, and many other nations.

Here is an excerpt from the Buying Guide:
    “How is Value Determined?
With Russian silver gilt egg pendants, value is determined by a combination of factors including size, condition, age, design, gems (if any), precious metal content, and most of all, craftsmanship. Skill and craftsmanship are key. Size is the most overlooked factor but is critical to value. Typically, the larger the egg pendant or locket, the more valuable because of the extra labor and materials needed.
    Four major sizes include:
Petite: an egg pendant that is less than 3/4 inch (18mm) in length, excluding bale.
Medium: An egg or locket that is 3/4th inch (18mm) to 1 inch (25mm) long, excluding bale.
Large: an egg or locket that is 1 to 1 1/4 inches (31mm) in length or width, excluding bale.
Extra Large: an egg or locket that is over 1 1/4 inches (31mm) in length or width, excluding bale.”       End of excerpt.

Allergy Note: All lots come from a smoke free and cat free home but pre-owned items may have originated in different conditions.
About Discounted Shipping: USA shipping only. I am happy to discount shipping within 48 hours of the first purchase if you request a discounted invoice after your last auction concludes but BEFORE payment is sent. Large fragile items are not usually subject to this option because they often have to ship in separate boxes.
I strive to ship items via the least expensive way possible to save you money, and I utilize eBay USPS shipping for just that reason, but tracking will always be included because it is an eBay requirement.
Shipping and Return Policy: I can only ship to your official Pay-Pal address and I do not ship on Friday and Saturday or during dangerous weather conditions. If you pay for an item any time from Thursday to Sunday, it will ship on Monday. If you pay for an item anytime between Monday and Wednesday, it will ship on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday. Please bear this in mind, as well as the post office transit time estimates, when looking at arrival dates.
Oklahoma residents are always subject to 8.5% sales tax.
In 20 years, my return policy has not changed. All sales are final - no returns or refunds unless there is a question of authenticity or a gross error in the description. If any thing you buy from me is not as described and photographed, you are entitled to a full refund of your purchase price after the item is returned. I do not typically offer partial refunds.
Payment Reminder: If you are new around here, you need to know that eBay automatically opens a case when payment fails to arrive within the required period. After a case is opened, buyers have several more days to send payment before the buyer account receives a “strike.” I have received angry emails from slow paying buyers who have no idea the process is automatic, hence, this reminder.
ABOUT FEEDBACK: My top priorities are answering email, writing accurate descriptions and fast shipping. Feedback is important but not my priority. I leave feedback only once or twice a month in large groups to save time.
Please do not make an offer or request a lower price unless the "Best Offer" option is available for that particular item.
